Student Leadership Council

The NCN Student Leadership Council (SLC) is a student organization for NCN affiliated students from all NCN participating universities nationwide. It's mission is to establish a student network involving NCN schools to facilitate collaborative research through exchange and sharing of ideas, aimed at preparing students to play the leadership role in the emerging nanotechnology forefront.

The SLC operates by carrying out the following tasks:

    Organizing:
    • technical events
    • social gatherings
  • Providing information to new students
  • Facilitating inter-university student communication
  • Completing feedback loop for NCN by:
    • collecting input and concerns from students
    • communicating this to NCN administration/ site visit team

The Purdue NCN-SLC now has its own website listing all current activities at Purdue http://nanohub.org/topics/NCNPurdueStudents and the new inter-university NCN student website provides a forum for the students across the various nodes to interact (see Links below).
